I am currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager for a British buffet restaurant chain. The company currently operates 21 restaurants across the UK & has huge growth plans over the next 5 years.This is an exciting opportunity to join my client during a period of growth.SummaryWorking with the Restaurant Manager, Head Chef and Senior Management discussing the needs of the restaurant, the Senior Procurement Manager will travel between restaurants and Head Office in London for meetings with shareholders, updating on latest company information. I am looking for someone with an entrepreneurial nature who is able to work independently.There are currently 2,500 lines of food & the main role of the Senior Procurement Manager is planning, sourcing and negotiating the best prices for goods and services ensuring the company maximises profitability.DutiesResponsible for creating improved working practices and operational productivity.Researching and sourcing new suppliers, reviewing tenders and negotiating and re-negotiating prices for all contractsWorking with the restaurant manager and head chef to project stock levels, liaising with suppliers and following up orders and delivery timesFollowing market trends to ensure new suppliers and goods are reviewed and consideredDeveloping good relationships with suppliers including visiting suppliers, consulting trade directories and research on the internetIdentify opportunities to reduce costs and lead projects to review alternative sourcing options at both branch and national level thereby driving down costsCutting any waste and unnecessary costs to create a more streamlined and efficient operationMaking decision, meeting targets and working under pressureUsing the internet and having a strong understanding of technologySetting up efficient working practices and assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to the staff to ensure targets are met Managing and developing an efficient administrative teamHandling correspondence including postal and email enquiries relating to contractsOverall responsibility for stock accuracy and targetsMonitoring and reviewing all contracts and communicating with senior management with regards to their contractual obligationsAbility to interpret statistics and make commercial decisionsTo work with the restaurant manager, head chef and senior management to discuss the needs of the restaurant.Travelling between restaurant and head office in London for meetings with shareholders to update on latest company informationTo attend any meeting and training sessions as required by senior management.ProfileAble to work well under pressureAbility to interpret statistics and make commercial decisionsContract ManagementPrevious experience in Hospitality is essential Solid knowledge of supplier and third party managementPlease call Tina at Osborne Appointments on 07514 650377 if you are interested, or apply directly with your most recent CV.Thank you for your interest in this vacancy, which is being advertised by Osborne Appointments, who are acting as an employment agency / business.
