Overview
An NPD Technologist role, with scope for a lot of internal growth, for a bakery business in Lancashire, looking to expand the fast-paced NPD team.
The Role
As Senior NPD Technologist, you will:

Develop and test new products in line with customer briefs and market trends
*
Prepare and deliver product samples and presentations for customer approval
*
Conduct kitchen and factory trials, ensuring quality, safety, and cost targets are met
*
Maintain accurate documentation including recipes, specifications, and trial records
*
Support the launch process, ensuring a smooth transition from kitchen to full-scale production
The Candidate
The successful Senior NPD Technologist will have:
*
Experience in NPD or process development within the food industry - ideally bakery
*
A keen eye for food trends, presentation, and flavour profiling
*
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
*
Confidence working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
*
Good understanding of food safety, quality systems, and technical documentation
