Senior Engineer – 278 Roads & Sewers (Newcastle)

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor for a 12-month contract on a Section 278 roads and sewers project in the Newcastle area.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Oversee engineering works related to 278 road and sewer infrastructure.

*

Manage, coordinate, and lead a team of engineers and site staff.

*

Ensure works are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards.

*

Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.

*

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.

*

Maintain site health and safety in line with company and legal standards.

✅ Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on civil engineering projects.

*

Strong background in 278 works, highways, and deep drainage/sewers.

*

SMSTS certification (Essential).

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

*

Right to work in the UK..
