A leading UK-based technology business, working at the forefront of precision instrumentation and acoustics, is looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join its high-performing engineering team. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and building robust, reliable hardware that performs in demanding environments.
What You'll Be Doing

Leading the design and development of mixed-signal electronics for high-precision systems
*
Creating robust analogue and digital circuits, including filters, amplifiers, power supplies, and ADCs
*
Working with microcontrollers (and ideally some FPGA exposure) to bring designs to life
*
Taking ownership of design documentation, test planning, and PCB schematics/layouts
*
Collaborating with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate solutions
*
Getting hands-on with prototyping, soldering, and PCB assembly (training provided if needed)
*
Supporting the transition from design to manufacture
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
*
A strong background in analogue and digital circuit design
*
Practical experience with embedded systems (Assembler/C/C++)
*
Familiarity with interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART
*
Proficiency in PCB layout tools (OrCAD or similar)
*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
*
UK passport holder eligible for SC clearance (non-dual nationality)
Nice-to-Haves:
*
Exposure to FPGA design and HDL
*
Understanding of power supply tech and signal integrity
*
Experience with Linux environments
*
An interest in acoustics or environmental instrumentation
Qualifications
*
Degree (2:1 or above) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
