Senior DevOps Engineer  – Remote (AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform, ECS)
£60,000-£80,000

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible with Jinja2 templates.
• Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications with ECS, with exposure to Kubernetes a plus.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and monitor environments.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to system performance tuning, incident response, and ongoing platform reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clear, concise documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in a DevOps role, primarily in AWS environments.
• Expertise with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Strong containerization experience with Docker and ECS.
• Familiarity with Python and/or Go; knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript is a plus.
• Proficient with Git workflows and version control.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and logging in cloud-based systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team setting.

 
Desirable

• Experience with MongoDB in production environments.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and infrastructure scaling best practices.
