Senior Bridges Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Leading projects focused on maintaining and enhancing structures across the county
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality services through effective project management
Coordinating and overseeing the design, assessment, and inspection of bridges and other structures
Collaborating with a team of professionals to leverage specialist resources and expertise
Driving compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promoting high standards
Engaging with stakeholders and colleagues to keep them informed of project progress
Participating in the design and construction of major new structures to enhance the transport network
Providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the team

Job Requirements:

Experience in structural and bridge engineering
Significant understanding of Health and Safety legislation and its application in projects
Experience in the development, assessment, and inspection of highway structures
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively
Passion for projects that positively impact local communities
Working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with a professional institution
Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
