SEND Senior Tribunals Officer
Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer in Kent.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEND Senior Tribunals Officer to join our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the council’s response to Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDT) appeals is comprehensive, coordinated, and timely.
This is a remote position.
Pay rate - £314.15 PAYE / £400 Umbrella per day
Main Responsibilities
As a SEND Senior Tribunals Officer you will be responsible for:
Draft and prepare Kent County Council’s response to SENDT appeals and judicial orders.
Represent the local authority at tribunal hearings.
Collaborate with legal teams and manage appeals effectively.
Lead multi-agency meetings as part of tribunal case preparation.
Track and report on appeal trends to inform strategic planning.
Maintain accurate records of specialist spending and case data.
Keep key databases, including Synergy, updated in real time.
Support additional duties aligned with the team’s objectives.
Requirements:
Educated to degree level in Law, Education, or a related field.
Experienced in handling complex, sensitive matters with parents, carers, schools, and partner agencies.
