The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support
• Help differentiate lessons to suit individual needs
• Encourage student confidence, engagement, and independence
• Assist with personal care if required
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEN
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach to challenges
• Passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
