SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year R)
Location: Portsmouth

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Portsmouth. This role involves working 1:1 with a child in Reception (Year R) who requires additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working with young children with Special Educational Needs, particularly within an EYFS setting (desirable but not essential)

Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Be calm, consistent, and adaptable in their approach

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
