Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with higher needs? A supportive mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking a skilled TA to work closely with pupils diagnosed with ASD, ADHD and other complex needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Your Role Will Include:
Providing structured 1:1 support for children with EHCPs and complex SEN
Assisting pupils in managing emotional regulation and sensory processing challenges
Implementing individual strategies and behaviour support plans
Collaborating with the SENCO, outside agencies, and class teachers
Using visual aids, social stories and other specialist resources to support learningWe're Looking For Someone With:
Essential: Previous experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or higher needs
A strong understanding of EHCP targets and how to deliver them day-to-day
A calm, resilient and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication challenges
Highly Desirable: CPD or training in Team Teach, PECS, Makaton or sensory integrationWhy Work with Long Term Futures?
