Here at Academics we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Specialist to join an inclusive and nurturing team at a fantastic school in Wakefield.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide one- to -one and small groupn support for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with identified SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, developing independence, and building confidence.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A relevant qualification (e.g.,CACHE Level 3, TA qualification or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. To Apply:
