This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rewarding role supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to help create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Your role will involve:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties
* Assisting with behaviour management strategies to support students’ engagement in learning.
* Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and social development.
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support.
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual behaviour plans.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or special educational needs (SEN).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* The ability to remain professional and positive in challenging situations.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Childcare/Education, Team Teach training) are desirable but not essential.
