Pay: £130 - £170 per day, dependent on payroll choice

The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team. As an SEMH Teacher, you will work with students who have specific social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will create and deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the diverse learning and emotional needs of students, helping them succeed both academically and socially. You will work alongside a supportive team of staff and therapeutic professionals to create a holistic approach to education.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver lessons that are specifically designed for students with SEMH needs, ensuring the content is engaging and accessible.
• Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their emotional, social, and academic development.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring their unique challenges are addressed.
• Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behavior and emotional wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to ensure students receive the necessary support.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in teaching students with SEMH needs.
• A strong understanding of SEMH and the challenges faced by students with these needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Experience in a special education setting (desirable but not essential).
• A commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of students with SEMH.
