Location: Sheffield
Salary: £29,093 per annum + £1,000 Secure Allowance + Sleep-In Allowance
Overtime paid at 1.5x beyond 37 hours per week

Your Role:

As a Secure Residential Worker, you'll play a vital role in the care, development, and protection of young people in our secure unit. You will:

Provide high-quality, child-centred care and assertive, positive parenting

Support young people with daily living skills, routines, and personal growth

Build trusting relationships through 1:1 keywork sessions and group activities

Implement and monitor personalised care and behaviour support plans

Maintain safety, security, and a calm environment in line with safeguarding standards

Collaborate with social workers, education and healthcare professionals

Accurately document care activities and changes in wellbeing

What We're Looking For:

Experience in residential childcare, youth justice, special education, or care of vulnerable adults

Resilience, resourcefulness, and a calm approach to challenging situations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A genuine desire to support and empower young people

Flexibility to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Basic IT literacy for care recording and reports

You must hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (completed within 2 years of employment).
