Section Engineer

Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35) Duration: Long-term
Role: Section Engineer on a major new nuclear power station project, responsible for managing specific work packages to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-programme construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a dedicated team of site engineers and subcontractors within an allocated section of works.
Implement and enforce all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, ensuring full compliance on site.
Accurately interpret project plans, detailed specifications, and approved method statements for construction activities.
Execute precise setting out of engineering works and ensure all necessary inspections, checks, and client approvals are obtained.
Monitor and report on progress against the project programme, proactively identifying and resolving potential delays or technical issues.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with the project management team, specialist subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive records of all work performed, including as-built documentation, quality assurance records, and site diaries.
