Position: SAP BTP Developer
Location: London – Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Employment: Contract
Duration: 6 months with potential extensions
Rate: £400- £500 per day (Inside ir35)
Start Date: ASAP
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SAP BTP Developer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP BTP, including Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and SAP Extension Suite. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing cloud-native applications and integrations to enhance business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on SAP BTP and leveraging Cloud Foundry.
• Design and implement SAP BTP-based extensions using SAP Extension Suite.
• Integrate SAP and non-SAP applications using SAP Integration Suite.
• Work closely with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Optimize and enhance existing BTP applications for performance and scalability.
• Ensure best practices in security, compliance, and cloud development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Establish connectivity within SAP landscape between SAP, non-SAP, and cloud applications.
• Develop and maintain SAP BTP extensions and add-ons for existing SAP solutions in S/4HANA.
• Implement application security using SAP BTP services like SAP Cloud Identity, SSO, OAuth 2.0, etc.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality of developed applications.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
• 8+ years of experience as an SAP BTP Developer.
• Proficiency in SAP Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and SAP Extension Suite.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and Event Mesh.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP architecture, components, and their capabilities.
• Expertise in ABAP coding using Cloud products; SQL procedures and Python skills are a plus.
• Integrate SAP BTP applications with various SAP and non-SAP systems using integration technologies such as OData, REST, and SOAP.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP BTP and provide recommendations on new technologies and tools for continuous improvement.
