Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Role Overview

Our client, a leading supplier of industrial plumbing supplies and equipment, is seeking a driven and experienced Internal Sales Executive to join their dynamic sales team in Enfield. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of industrial plumbing products who excels in building customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide expert advice and reliable customer service to trade and industrial clients within the plumbing and mechanical services sector.

* Work as part of a proactive internal team to exceed customer expectations and branch sales targets.

* Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and product knowledge.

* Maintain and grow a portfolio of 20–40 B2B client accounts, focusing on retention and revenue generation.

* Source new business opportunities through outbound calls, referrals, and lead follow-ups.

* Accurately process sales orders and quotations, ensuring correct specification of plumbing supplies and equipment.

* Support field sales representatives by coordinating pricing, availability, and technical details.

* Respond promptly to technical enquiries and provide solutions based on product ranges.

* Attend trade events and customer site visits (with line manager) to represent the business and build rapport.

* Achieve and exceed set KPIs, including sales volume, conversion rate, and customer satisfaction.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and product innovations.

Requirements

* Previous experience in internal sales or trade counter roles, ideally within the industrial plumbing or M&E supply sector.

* Strong understanding of plumbing components, mechanical fittings, valves, and associated industrial equipment.

* Proven sales track record with the ability to meet and exceed targets.

* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

* Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining attention to detail.

* Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

* Well-organised with strong time management and multitasking abilities.

* Confident, proactive, and adaptable with a solutions-based approach.

Knowledge, Expertise & Qualifications

Essential:

* Practical knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, components, and market sectors (e.g., commercial heating, water systems, mechanical plant rooms).

Desirable:

* Experience using ERP or stock management systems such as Kerridge K8.

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

* CRM system experience for managing sales pipelines and account activity
