Safeguarding Partnership Training and Workforce Development Lead£43,434 - £55,758 per annumPermanentFull Time (36 hours)Location: Wandsworth Town with some flexible working from homeOfsted Rating: Good'Are you a seasoned practitioner with a robust understanding of child safeguarding principles, coupled with a talent for facilitating the learning and growth of others?When joining Wandsworth Safeguarding Children's Partnership (WSCP) you will contribute to the reinvigorated vision and priorities of this partnership, emphasising a commitment to fostering anti-racist practices, enhancing educational opportunities, engaging with communities, facilitating access to inclusive mental health services, and integrating lessons learned from local and national child safeguarding practice reviews.About the RoleIn this position, you will have the distinctive opportunity to work directly under the Safeguarding Partnership Business Manager, with engagement across all partner agencies.You will hold primary responsibility for overseeing the delivery and coordination of multi-agency training and development initiatives, encompassing core safeguarding training and the integration of insights gleaned from child safeguarding practice reviews.You will be adept at using your influencing skills and will collaborate closely with leaders across Health, Police, Local Authority, and Education sectors, championing multi-agency collaboration aligned with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.Essential Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceYou will be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England paired with experience of developing and delivering training and/or workforce development initiatives that you have evaluated for impact to improve quality of practice and the subsequent lives of children and families.You will be able to respond to new ways of working laid out in WTSC 2023 and be interested in multi-agency working practices and how these can safeguard children.For an exceptional candidate possessing a proven track record in delivering training and workforce development, there is potential for appointment to PO5 level, with the added responsibility of collaborating with the Quality Assurance Manager to spearhead multi-agency quality assurance endeavours.To be appointable at PO5, specific elements of the duties and responsibilities must be met at interview.
