Contract: 6 Months
Location: On-site, Portsmouth Naval Base
Pay Rates:
Local: £19.40 PAYE / £25.94 Umbrella per hour
Non-Local: £27.40 PAYE / £36.80 Umbrella per hour
Join a key defence project at Portsmouth Naval Base, supporting Royal Navy vessels with essential maintenance and safety operations for BAE Systems.

Key Responsibilities: Perform low-level electro/mechanical maintenance on Royal Navy ships.
Support ship system readiness and safety post-STW.
Issue and manage Permits to Work (Hot Work, Working at Height, etc.).
Maintain tag-out records and ship system logs.
Operate dockside service connections and main switchboards.
Work shifts and oversee fire safety, watertight integrity, and security of engineering compartments.
Requirements: Knowledge of electrical safety and testing.
Broad understanding of marine electro/mechanical systems.
Strong focus on safety, responsibility, and continuous learning.
