Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting a rough sleeper navigator for a client of ours based in Weymouth. The purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive service to a caseload of clients who are currently sleeping rough or in insecure accommodation in the Dorset Council area.

Location: Weymouth
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £25,235 per annum
Main duties and responsibilities

Participation in an outreach rota which may include working early mornings, evening and weekends
To undertake assertive outreach and hot spot visits across the locality area
Carry out a strength-based assessment with each client and plan and enact support actions/interventions, which will assist clients to achieve their goals and move towards a sustainable life away from the streets.Person Specification

Understanding of the needs of rough sleepers and the effects of trauma on individuals with complex lives
Resilience to work flexibly and creatively with individuals who may have seemingly intractable problems
Understanding of benefits, housing and homelessness legislation and housing options
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and professional boundaries
