We are hiring for a Research Technician to join our clients Applied Behaviour R&D Team to play a crucial role in conducting research trials, collecting high-quality behavioural data, and supporting scientific advancements in our clients brands globally.

The role requires a strong background in animal behaviour, data collection, and behavioural coding, working closely with Research Scientists to ensure the effective capture and analysis of research data.

This role is offered on a full time contract basis for 12 months initially. (Inside IR35).

Responsibilities:

Support research study implementation, including animal handling, behavioural coding, and data collection.
Manage and maintain research equipment, software, and technologies for behavioural and physiological data capture.
Assist in the development of new research methodologies and capabilities within the Applied Behaviour and Emotional Wellbeing Programme.
Execute research study protocols, ensuring high-quality scientific data collection.
Conduct quality control checks on research data and ensure integrity in reporting.
Regularly communicate study progress and challenges with the Applied Behaviour team and key stakeholders.Experience Required:

Must be 21 years of age or older due to insurance, and have a current valid UK Driver's license that was issued 1 or more years ago (required as part of driving a fleet vehicle for this role).
Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Animal Behaviour, Biology, Zoology, Psychological Science preferred).
Strong practical knowledge of animal behaviour and experience in research study implementation.
Experience with behavioural assessment techniques, coding software, and data collection.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and relevant research software.
Experience working with cats and dogs is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work efficiently on research studies, ensuring timely data capture and reporting.
