We are a niche consultancy which specialises in sourcing, training and supplying high calibre paralegal teams, on a temporary basis, to quality law firms, banks and companies in London, nationally and internationally. We have an established client base and a constantly growing database of candidates. Due to an expansion of permanent placement business in relation to paralegals, qualified lawyers and compliance professionals, we are looking for an energetic and pro-active, legal recruitment consultant, who has strong experience of placing permanent candidates, to join our busy team, on a self-employed basis.
Role
* Working remotely, the successful candidate will take ownership of providing recruitment services to a portfolio of our clients who require assistance with their permanent hiring. The roles they offer typically range from paralegals to senior lawyers and Partners in a variety of practice areas, as well as compliance professionals and specialist legal advisors (e.g. trademark attorneys).
* We will provide you with a range of our clients to manage, enabling you to focus on sourcing and placing candidates without the need to find clients yourself.
* You will source, screen, interview and match individuals with suitable career opportunities offered by our clients.
* You will work autonomously but interact with other members of our team, where required.
* Depending on fit and performance, this has the potential to be a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Client relationship & management: Proactively initiate regular contact with, and be responsive to, the clients we provide to you. Work closely with them to understand their staffing needs and company culture.
* Adverts: Prepare appropriate adverts, in line with our house style, for the roles you are responsible for, and publish them on a variety of platforms.
* Candidate sourcing & management: Utilize various channels to attract and identify potential candidates, including job boards, social media, and networking events and onboard new candidates into our system.
* Interviewing and assessment: Set up and conduct thorough interviews and assessments to ensure candidates meet the clients' requirements.
* Preparation of candidate paperwork: Prepare candidate CVs and bios in our prescribed format and complete any required Forms in clients’ ATS platforms.
* Placement and follow-Up: Successfully place candidates in roles and maintain ongoing communication to ensure both client and candidate satisfaction.
* Compliance: Follow our required compliance processes and maintain a high standard of ethics and compliance in your dealings with our clients and candidates.
* Reporting: Keep up-to-date records from your client and candidate interactions in our systems.
* KPIs/Targets: Meet weekly/monthly KPIs and targets.
Required skills & qualities
Able to demonstrate the following:
* Extensive experience as a senior recruitment consultant in the legal sector (particularly in relation to permanent placements) and preferably within the London market.
* Entrepreneurial and strategic problem solver with a positive, can-do mindset.
* Strong communication skills. Able to communicate effectively, in speech and in writing, with clients and candidates.
* Good attention to detail, strong organisational skills and able to prioritise work effectively.
* Good record keeping skills.
* Able to report on work carried out/obstacles encountered in a timely manner.
* Able to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines and targets.
* Highly responsive and able to deliver exceptional service to clients.
* People person with ability to build long-lasting and sincere relationships.
Who this role would suit
This role would suit someone who is pro-active, organised, used to reporting within corporate structures and able to work well both autonomously and within a team. As this is a self-employed role, the ideal candidate will be an experienced legal recruiter with a track record of successful permanent placements. They will be a self-starter who can meet targets and KPIs while working to the highest compliance standards and able to work well with our existing team. As this role offers a high degree of responsibility and autonomy, the ideal candidate will be familiar with, and adept at, all practical steps required to progress a role for a client from candidate search to successful placement.
Location & Hours
This is a remote role, however there will be frequent interaction with other members of the team. Hours are flexible (either full time or part time) provided that targets and weekly KPIs are met.
