Reception Year Teacher

This school is a nurturing and inclusive primary school with a strong commitment to early years education. We are looking for a dedicated and creative Reception Teacher to join a team and provide a rich, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for our youngest pupils. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:

Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play and exploration

Create a warm, welcoming and stimulating classroom environment that supports children's development

Use observations and assessments to monitor children’s progress and inform next steps in learning

Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers, fostering effective communication and trust

Work collaboratively with the Early Years team, including teaching assistants and SEND support

Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and vision

Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

Hold QTS and have experience teaching in an EYFS setting (Reception class essential)

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development

Be passionate about early learning and the importance of a secure, caring classroom
