Do you want to play a key part in the design and production of exciting new products?Due to continued investment, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for a R&T Procurement Officer to join their growing team in Pitstone on a 6 months contract basis.The RoleWithin the role of R&T Procurement Officer you'll be responsible for:This role is responsible for managing the procurement activities of Research and Technology projects within the company.Key Responsibilities:* Manage and facilitate R&T sourcing activity, aligning core commodity strategies with supplier selection.* Coordinate and manage R&T programs at the site, building robust and solid relationships with high quality vendors and suppliers.* Ensure design evolutions synchronise with from initial concept through to new product introduction phases.* Create, conduct and close RFQ / RFP Packages with Selected Supplier Choice panelsYou:* Support make/buy studies.* Supplier database for R&T projects.* Report and present program reviews to various stakeholders.* Programs overviews/roadmaps* Carry out procurement related activities to meet milestones for R&T programmes as per the individual programme plansBackgroundThis is an exciting opportunity to work for a global business that has developed a strategy of working closely with its contingent workforce.
