Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

£55000 - £70000

Kent

About the Company:

A well-established, privately owned fit-out and refurbishment contractor with over 30 years of industry experience, this organisation has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects across London and the South East. Known for their attention to detail and collaborative approach, they work across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, office, and leisure environments — always focusing on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

With a strong pipeline of repeat business and new project wins, they continue to grow and are now seeking a commercially minded Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit and professional team.

About the role:

This is a dual role that would suit an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment. You’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle — from tendering and pricing through to final account, giving you complete commercial oversight. Working closely with the directors and project delivery team, you will contribute to the success of a variety of fast-paced and technically interesting schemes typically ranging from £100k to £3m.

You’ll benefit from a supportive environment where autonomy is encouraged, and your input will genuinely make a difference.

Rewards:

*

Competitive salary package tailored to experience (£55,000 – £70,000)

*

Hybrid working flexibility (office, site, and home)

*

Company car allowance or travel expenses

*

Private healthcare options

*

Opportunities for professional development and progression

*

A close-knit team environment where your voice is heard and valued

*

Regular team events and a supportive, non-corporate culture

Responsabilites:

*

Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for fit-out and refurbishment projects

*

Conducting take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities

*

Managing project costs throughout the lifecycle, including valuations, variations, and final accounts

*

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear commercial communication

*

Ensuring profitability and value engineering where appropriate

*

Assisting in procurement and subcontractor appointment

*

Attending site meetings and supporting project teams with commercial insight

*

Maintaining accurate records in line with contractual and company requirements
