Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure Project (Leading Contractor)
Location: South West UK (Site-based with potential for hybrid working as project needs dictate)

Reporting To: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor on this major infrastructure project, you will be a key member of the commercial team, responsible for managing and controlling project costs from inception to final account. You will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure commercial targets are met and risks are effectively managed. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience on a large-scale infrastructure project with a leading contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans.
Monitor and report on project costs against budget, providing accurate and timely forecasts.
Identify and evaluate potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
Value completed work and process payments to subcontractors.
Manage and track variations, compensation events, and claims.
Prepare and negotiate final accounts.
Subcontractor Management:
Assist in the procurement process, including tender evaluation and negotiation.
