Senior Quantity Surveyor - Newbury (Hungerford)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + car allowance

Our client, a well-established main contractor with a strong presence in the South of England, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based near Newbury (Hungerford).
This is a pivotal role, ideal for a commercially astute QS who thrives on implementing structure and driving best practices. Reporting directly to a commercially strong Managing QS, the successful candidate will bring added rigour to commercial processes, contract administration, cost control, and internal reporting standards-helping to embed a culture of consistency and compliance without slowing down operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of ongoing projects
Ensure robust contract compliance and documentation standards
Lead cost planning, forecasting, and budget control
Support the commercial team in maintaining procedural discipline
Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure financial targets are met Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrated experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
Strong knowledge of commercial processes and cost management
Proven ability to reinforce structure and enhance documentation standards
