Quantity Surveyor – RC Frame & Groundworks
Greater London, Home Counties and Bedfordshire
£60,000 – £80,000 + Travel / Bonus / Package

About the Company
Our client is a long-standing and highly respected RC Frame and Groundworks subcontractor, headquartered in Bedfordshire and operating exclusively across the Home Counties and Bedfordshire. With a turnover exceeding £50 million, they have established a strong reputation for delivering complex and technically demanding packages across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and civils schemes.
They consistently deliver projects ranging between £5 million and £10 million and currently have a robust pipeline of live and upcoming work across Zones 1–6, with projects located in Central, West, East, and South London.
About the Role
Due to continued expansion and a healthy order book, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You’ll play a key role in the delivery of major groundworks and RC frame packages, overseeing financial management, reporting, and client relationships.
You'll have full commercial responsibility for one or more schemes, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and in line with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial activities across assigned projects
* Prepare and monitor CVRs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to manage commercial risk
* Ensure cost control, contract compliance, and profitability
* Support procurement, subcontract orders, and monthly reporting
About You
* Proven experience working with an RC frame, groundworks, or civil engineering subcontractor
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QS role (intermediate)
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Confident managing fast-paced, technically challenging projects
Salary & Benefits
£60,000 – £80,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
