Are you a passionate quality leader ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function at a key production site, driving excellence in food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As QA Manager, you'll be responsible for setting the QA strategy and leading a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety. Reporting directly to the Site Director, you'll play a pivotal role in audit readiness, customer relationship management, and fostering a proactive quality culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing QA team across multiple shifts.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with BRC, HACCP, and GMP standards.
Act as the primary contact for customer quality matters, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Oversee QA checks, verifications, and documentation across all operational areas.
Manage supplier non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis.
Drive quality risk management and trend analysis to support proactive decision-making.
Lead complaint reduction initiatives through data-driven strategies.
Champion a 'right-first-time' culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Monitor QA KPIs and report performance to site leadership.
Support training, onboarding, and capability building within the QA team.
Promote a strong food safety and quality culture across departments.
About You
Essential Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in QA management within food manufacturing or a regulated production environment.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance management.
In-depth knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC, GMP).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in root cause analysis and non-conformance handling.
HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 (or equivalent).Personal Attributes:
