Scrap Metal Quality Inspector
Location: Ellesmere Port
Employment Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and monitor the quality of ferrous scrap materials.
Ensure all products meet agreed specifications and internal standards
Conduct regular sampling and testing of materials
Maintain detailed inspection records and reports
Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances
Support continuous improvement and the development of quality procedures
Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience in quality control or inspection essential.
Previous experience working in the scrap metal industry highly advantageous.
Understanding of ferrous scrap grades and relevant specifications preferred but not essential.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
Good IT skills for record keeping
Package Details:
Permanent full-time role
07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
