Quality Engineer:

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team and contribute to the continuous improvement of their Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a complex manufacturing environment, quality control documentation, product inspection, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in engineering drawings, root cause analysis, and lean principles.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Devise and maintain quality control documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct product inspections and provide sign-off according to company and client specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with valuable clients, providing support and ensuring their quality expectations are met.
- Perform audits of the QMS and provide support for First Article Inspections (FAIR) to AS9102 standard.
- Measure performance and identify areas of improvement, implementing proactive solutions to enhance product quality.
- Utilise a proactive approach to identify and rectify any weaknesses in the QMS.
- Prepare detailed reports and analysis on quality performance and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering position within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and lean principles.
- Proven expertise in maintaining and improving a Quality Management System.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interactions.
