Andy File Associates Ltd is acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a permanent position based in Chesterfield
Job Description:
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the finance team, and assisting in the smooth running of day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales ledgers
* Post supplier invoices and promptly resolve any related queries
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Process sales invoices and manage the sales order backlog
* Carry out credit control duties
* Process bi-monthly direct debit runs
* Perform daily bank reconciliations
* Answer telephone calls and handle general enquiries
* Carry out general administrative duties, including filing and managing post
* Provide ad-hoc support to ensure the smooth running of the finance department
* Using mainly an internal CRM system along with XERO accounting software
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant role
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* AAT qualified
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
