Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor – Hinkley Point C
Location: Hinkley Point, Somerset
Start Date: June 2025
Duration: 50 Weeks
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (DOE)
A respected construction company is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor to oversee a £2 million package of works at Hinkley Point C. The project is due to commence in June 2025 and will run for approximately 50 weeks.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving programme delivery, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements, and managing project notices and early warnings efficiently. This is a client-facing role requiring clear communication and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities:

Follow and manage the project programme in line with site requirements
*
Ensure all contractual notices and early warnings are issued in a timely manner
*
Monitor project compliance and maintain high standards of reporting
*
Liaise closely with site teams and client representatives
*
Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and variations
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor role
*
Strong understanding of contract administration, including NEC or similar frameworks
*
Experience in managing notices and early warnings
*
Familiarity with carpentry trades is advantageous but not essential
*
Ability to work on-site at Hinkley Point
*
Strong communication and organisational skills
*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
