Project Manager – Hardware & Embedded Systems
Location: Basingstoke | Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for hardware and embedded systems? Our client is looking for an Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative product development projects, from concept to manufacturing. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and can adapt Agile principles to hardware-focused workflows.
What You’ll Do:

Manage full lifecycle projects involving PCB design, embedded firmware, mechanical design, and manufacturing.

Apply Agile methodologies (tailored for hardware) to coordinate work packages and sprints.
*
Use Jira and other tools to track progress, risks, and deliverables.
*
Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure effective collaboration across internal teams and external contractors.
*
Oversee supplier performance, compliance, and quality assurance.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience managing hardware and embedded firmware projects.
*
Strong working knowledge of Agile in hardware or mixed environments.
*
Skilled in Jira and project planning tools.
*
Confident managing suppliers and cross-functional teams.
*
Excellent communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
*
Agile certification (e.g., ScrumMaster, SAFe)
*
Degree in Engineering or Project Management
*
Experience in regulated industries and understanding of CE, FCC, or UL standards
