My client is a rapidly growing specialist contractor delivering grid-scale battery energy storage and solar infrastructure projects across the UK. With a robust pipeline of work and a strong in-house delivery model, they offer a rare opportunity to play a leading role in the clean energy transition.
As part of their expansion, they're looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to take ownership of complex BESS and Solar projects, leading from inception through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver BESS and Solar projects from concept to completion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Monitor progress against KPIs and ITPs, addressing risks and ensuring milestones are met.
Ensure full compliance with industry standards, regulations, and H&S protocols.
Report on project progress to senior stakeholders.
Manage project documentation including ERs, permits, and technical reports.
Champion continuous improvement in project delivery and methodology.
What We're Looking For:
Degree or professional qualification in Project Management or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of project management experience in BESS and/or Solar.
Demonstrable success managing large-scale energy projects.
In-depth knowledge of renewable technologies, regulations, and best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
PMP certification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
