I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established specialist in passive fire protection, for an experienced Administrator / Project Co-ordinator to join their growing team based in Rettendon, Essex.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a fast-paced, compliance-led environment, supporting projects that help protect buildings and ensure fire safety standards are met across a range of sectors including social housing, education, healthcare, and commercial properties.
The Role:
As Administrator / Project Co-ordinator, you will provide essential support to the operations and project management teams, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day administration and project coordination. You will be a pivotal point of contact for clients, engineers, and suppliers—helping projects stay on track, compliant, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage job scheduling, ensuring engineers and contractors are booked efficiently

Coordinate site access, permits, and documentation required for works
*
Support the project team with document control, project updates, and client reporting
*
Liaise with clients, ensuring a professional and proactive approach to communication
*
Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and cost tracking
*
Monitor project timelines, helping to resolve any delays or issues
*
Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within construction, fire safety, compliance, or facilities management sectors
*
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
*
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
*
Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach
*
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management systems (experience with Fire Protection/Construction software would be advantageous)
