Production Shift Manager - Day shift

Job Description Alexander Steele continues to partner with a global food business that manufactures and supplies a range of products to retailers, food service, and B2B across the UK and Ireland. The business is looking to appoint a Shift Manager to their Production facility at their site in Leicestershire.

The role:
Production Operations:
Lead and monitor daily production activities to ensure output, efficiency, and quality goals are achieved.
Oversee food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards on shift.
Ensure all health & safety and fire safety checks are completed.
Maintain process control and ensure compliance with food safety procedures.
Ensure all equipment, materials, and areas meet brand standards and customer requirements.
Follow and enforce site security measures.
Team Management:
Supervise and support a team of production operatives.
Ensure all staff (including agency workers) are trained and competent in their roles.
Manage team performance, including training, coaching, appraisals, and disciplinary processes.
