Reports To: Production Supervisor / Team Leader
Key Responsibilities:
* Use hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, planes, and measuring equipment to prepare, cut, and finish timber components.
* Follow cutting lists, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Perform joinery tasks and assist with assembling timber frame components.
* Inspect and select timber for quality and suitability.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
Requirements:
* Experience working with hand tools in a timber production, carpentry, or workshop setting (preferred, but training can be provided).
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
* Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements.
* Punctual, reliable, and willing to work the designated late shift.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable Skills:
* Carpentry or joinery background
* Understanding of different timber materials and woodworking techniques
* Knowledge of workshop safety practices
