Production Manager

Job Description Based within our Caledonian Optical Lab at Kirkhill, Dyce, the Production Manager, reporting to our Head of Manufacturing, is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and within budget. This role involves managing production teams, coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflows, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality control throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Production Planning and Scheduling :
Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts and company targets.
Monitor production progress, adjusting schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.
Ensure the proper allocation of resources (staff, equipment, materials) to meet production goals.

Team Leadership and Supervision :
Lead and manage a team of production workers, supervisors, and technicians.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and resolve any personnel issues.
Ensure the team adheres to safety and quality standards while maintaining high productivity.
