Are you a proven Production Manager with a background in food manufacturing?
We're working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer in the Middlesbrough area who are seeking a highly capable Production Manager to join their growing operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a key production area within a well-established and progressive business.
About the Role:
As Production Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations within the production environment, ensuring consistent delivery of output, quality, and efficiency targets. You’ll lead a team of supervisors and operatives, driving continuous improvement across all aspects of production while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and motivate production teams to achieve daily and weekly KPIs.

Ensure production plans are delivered on time and to specification.
*
Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or similar methodologies.
*
Maintain rigorous standards of hygiene, health & safety, and food quality compliance.
*
Work cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality and HR to support business objectives.
*
Monitor performance data and proactively address areas of underperformance.
*
Support site audits and customer visits as required.
Candidate Profile:
*
Proven experience in a Production or Manufacturing Manager role within food or FMCG.
*
Strong people management skills with a track record of team development.
*
Working knowledge of BRC, HACCP, GMP, and food safety systems.
*
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
*
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
*
Flexible, resilient, and driven by results.
