Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Wigan
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility required due to shift patterns)
Contract: Permanent
Are you a driven and experienced Production Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client are seeking a dynamic individual to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy production plant, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead production supervisors and personnel across a multi-shift system.
* Ensure that production targets are met and address any bottlenecks or delays.
* Provide insightful reports on manufacturing performance to the senior leadership team.
* Analyse processes and implement improvements to optimise production performance.
* Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain relevance and accuracy.
* Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
* Proven experience in managing direct reports.
* Knowledge and experience with ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
* Experience in manufacturing, particularly in chemicals (preferred).
* Understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
* NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (desirable)
