Product Development Engineer

Are you excited about contributing your technical expertise to the Business Development Unit (BDU) Hot Water & Solar Solutions? Theres a new opportunity within our satellite centre based in Preston, UK for an established Product Development Engineer to join our team. Youll play an integral part contributing to develop new products or to make improvement on existing products.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, project manager, appliance engineers, product managers, marketing, etc., to ensure user-focused product definition according to our group standards and core values.
This is what we see as your role
Based on the requirements of a test detail procedure, plan the test, understand the instruments to be used, the required data and resources.
Prepare test report and have it checked and validated
To promote a safe working culture and take responsibility in maintain zero LTIs (Lost Time Incidents) within the workshop and testing environment.
To assist in the generation and translation of product ECRs (Engineering Change Request) into Project Design Approval, which satisfies the product specification requirements, and meets the performance and reliability business requirements.
