Job Description
This is an 18 month fixed term contractbased in any of the main Rotork locations within the UK (Bath, Leeds or Manchester). There is an expectation of travel, within Europe and Intercontinentally as required.
Context:
Rotork has embarked on project DRIVE, a programme to migrate each of its global factories and selling entities from their legacy ERP systems onto D365. This role will represent Procurement data in part of a centralised Operations deployment team that is supporting all global sites in their transition over the next 3 years. This role also has a dotted line to our central Procurement team, who are responsible for ensuring the processes/data we put in place meets the overall direction of Procurement at Rotork.
Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
The Procurement Process SME is responsible for leading all Procurement process requirements as part of Rotork’s D365 implementation. Working alongside another Procurement Process SME & the Procurement Data SME, this role will ensure the required processes and responsibilities are in place for each of our Global factories to meet the requirements of implementing and maintaining our new System.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
Support Rotork Business System Audits in readiness for system implementation, develop GAP analysis detail and deliver & execute a programme to remove gaps prior to system deployment.
Coordinate/provide the relevant SME/functional resources as required to support delivery of the D365 /Target Operating Model transformation programme.
Lead Global, Site Leadership and SMEs through change management to adopt the core D365 operations solution.
Work with Subject Matter Experts to define/validate/sign off requirements/deliverables to ensure our solution meets global best practice or local needs.
Hold & report upon the consolidated Operations view of progress against solution & business readiness for functional area.
Drive through activities & decisions as required to be able to sign off solution & business readiness.
Support coordination of Operations cutover activities for Rotork Factory sites.
Support the upgrade and implementation of other operations systems as required.
Act as a point of contact between central Procurement team, factory Procurement teams and the D365 Operations Deployment team for all Procurement process requirements
Ensure the Operations process and standard operating procedures library is kept up to date, developing new documentation where required.
Developing Processes to support procurement activity within the live environment.
Identify and support the development of any required system localisations
Drive process standardisation, optimisation & best practice on each site.
Where the change from current ways of working needs to be managed, identify, monitor, and manage any actions required to prepare for and embed the change.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Technical knowledge:
Essential:
Advanced knowledge of full Microsoft Suite (especially Excel).
Familiar with MRP systems i.e., D365, SAP, Oracle
Experience of working in a procurement environment
Understanding of internal & cross-functional procurement processes
Demonstrable track record, and sufficient gravitas and experience, to deliver positive, high impact business outcomes and change.
Experience working on a substantial change project or upgrade of an ERP system.
Desirable:
Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
Experience of D365
Knowledge of MRP (Material requirements planning)
Lean / continuous improvement tools and techniques and demonstrated application in a manufacturing setting
