MMP Consultancy are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to work for a Housing Provider in North London on a Permanent basis.
The purpose of procurement is to obtain competitive prices for supplies, delivering the most value for money for the organisation throughout the procurement lifecycle. This must be done within the applicable legislative framework.
A Procurement Officer is a central part of the procurement department, and you'll liaise with key stakeholders to ensure Procurement requirements are understood and comply with internal governance and procurement policies.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support delivery of Procurement objectives
- Identify and document risks, issues and opportunities.
- Lead assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale.
- Build relationships with key suppliers.
- Adhere to the corporate standards and applicable legislative frameworks, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives.
- Promote compliance with business processes.
- Support organisation in the preparation and publication of applicable notices (as per Procurement Act 2023) and other applicable legislation.
- Manage procurement systems, as required.
