Eaton's manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire specialises inalarm, signal, control and notification equipment and is now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their site team.
What youll do: The manufacturing Process Engineer provides production with all the required program data for the blank production & late configuration in order for the production schedule to be maintained. Ensures programming enables timescale, sheet utilization and productivity targets to be fulfilled.
Responsibilities:
Collate production schedule data and prepare data for use in Radan Project software & Trumpf TruTops Cell Software.
Program the work for both the 2D and 3D Laser machines in a timely fashion, making the best possible use of the raw material and fulfil the planned schedule.
Maintain standard programming data, to ensure that all data is accurate, including that within RADAN.
Produce laser symbols for product variants, to fulfil customer orders.
Maintain Sheet Remnants, using them whenever required, to minimize material wastage and enable efficient throughput.
Ensure SAP Data is maintained and updated accordingly.
Operate closely with the fabrication team to maximize the efficiency of the laser cutting operations.
Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment
Able to interpret information from customer drawings to create parts that meet customer expectations and internal standards
Good technical ability of CNC machinery within an engineering / Sheet Metal manufacturing environment would be an advantage
Good 2d/3d laser programming skills
Skills: Excellent communication skills.
Flexible and can do attitude to work
Strong ability to plan & prioritise own workload, also demonstrating sound problem-solving abilities, organisation skills and keen attention to detail
