Principle Planning Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Principle Planning officer in the Doncaster area. This role is to deliver and implement corporate and directorate objectives through specialist planning advice, dealing with major and other planning applications, policy development and associated services. Duties and Responsibilities To assist in the delivery of Planning Services by providing clear, effective advice on Development Management and Planning Policy
To be responsible for own case load of major and other planning applications and to determine all planning applications
To develop and implement statutory and non-statutory policy and strategy, including all aspects of statutory planning policy including the preparation of evidence documents, data analysis and research and the preparation/review of development plans
Prepare and advise on CIL/s106 matters including policy and implementation
To engage in pre-application discussions and negotiations with developers to identify requirements, policy interpretation and ways to improve proposals
What you will need:
Planning qualification to degree level (or equivalent) and full membership of the RTPI (or clear evidence of working towards full membership)
