The School and Role

This Primary SEN School, based in Durham is looking to appoint a passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to work in Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. The desired Primary Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and Learning Disabilities. This full time Primary Teaching Assistant role is a long term role, starting in September 2025.

Requirements

The desired Primary Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
