Tradewind are currently working with a welcoming, mainstream primary school in Bedford, known for its modern open-plan layout and excellent facilities, to find a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to start this September.

This inclusive school is proud of its supportive staff team and its commitment to helping every child thrive. You'll be working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who have a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.

Our school are looking for a real team player who is happy to role up their sleeves and make an impact every day.

This is a full-time position, working via the agency in the first instance but likely to go permanent after 2 terms for the strongest candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of individual learning plans

Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and interaction

Use creativity and flexibility to tailor support and resources

Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide joined-up support

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN (education or care settings welcome)

Calm, empathetic, and resilient personality

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Adaptable and proactive approach to daily challenges

Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare in a school context
