Job DescriptionPre-Assessment Staff Nurse | Pre-Assessment | Band 5 dependent on experience | Wrexham | Full time | No Nights.Our Client based in Wrexham, North Wales are recruiting for an experienced Staff Nurse to join their Pre-Assessment unit. They provide excellent training opportunities to enable you to develop your skills and progress in your career.The hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.Duties and responsibilities:Strong understanding of, and the ability, to follow policies and criteria for surgical suitabilityCompleting pre-operative checks and referring on for review as and where neededLiaising with GP’s to follow through on any extra care needed to reduce cancellationsYou will undergo your pre-assessment course, fully fundedWho we're looking for:Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditionsSurgical nursing experienceCompassionate and able to showcase excellent patient careStrong communication skillsTime management skillsBenefitsWe offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to:35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidaysEmployer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement optionsReward platform - discount and cashback for over 1000 retailersFree Bupa wellness screeningPrivate medical insuranceLife assurance We commit to our employees well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
