Job Title: Planning Policy ManagerLocation: KentDepartment: Planning, Housing, and Environmental HealthResponsibilities: ·Lead a team overseeing Local Development Framework, planning policy, and environmental initiatives. ·Advise senior management and council members on local planning policy matters. ·Foster collaboration within the team and with other council services and stakeholders. ·Drive continuous improvement in planning services. ·Manage the development and review of planning documents and policies. ·Represent the council in meetings with stakeholders and at public inquiries. ·Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards. ·Supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Requirements: ·Degree in Town Planning and membership of RTPI. ·Extensive experience in Planning Policy. ·Strong leadership and communication skills. ·Ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions. ·Knowledge of planning law and procedures. ·Commitment to equal opportunities and customer-focused service delivery. ·Demonstrated integrity, initiative, and adaptability.
